Pretty Things Peepshow Comes To Dublin

Image

I first heard of Go-Go Amy last year, after Dr Sketchy’s Headmistress and co founder of Sedition Industries, Scarlett Nymph mentioned that she’d attended Sketchy’s in New York, and had seen Go Go Amy Model and perform. And I quote “She stood for her 20 minute pose, with one hand placed on a chair and one hand up in the air. It was amazing.”

Anyone who stands for a 20 minute pose can do no wrong in my book! So you can imagine my excitement at hearing not only was Go-Go Amy coming to Dublin, she was bringing the whole Pretty Things Peepshow over to put on a show with Sedition Industries and Dr Sketchy’s crew.

The Pretty Things Peepshow is the premier vaudeville show hailing from the US and they’re bringing their beautiful and vintage variety show to the Twisted Pepper in Dublin on the 1st of August. With 22 acts, this promises to be a night like no other! With comedy, burlesque, sword swallowing, magic and juggling, the cast includes Go-Go Amy, Lil Miss Firefly, Rachel Renegade and Mr Donny V.

You may already be familiar with the ‘Pretty Things’ from their appearances at Ozzfest, in music videos for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band and on tv shows such as Miami Ink & NY Ink.

Needless to say, I’m incredibly excited about the show and of course, I’ll be there getting snap happy.

August 1st @ 19.30, tickets €12 Advance from http://www.bodytonicmusic.com/events/3898/ or €15 on the door.

Before the show, Go-Go Amy will also be hosting a “Pre-show pin up workshop” from 16:00 until 18:00 in the Twisted Pepper.

In the workshop you will get an informative how-to tutorial about how to quickly and easily achieve the perfect vintage pin up look in both hair and make up. You will receive a booklet detailing everything that you learn in the class and get a FREE ticket to see go-go Amy perform that night with The Pretty Things Peepshow.
