Pretty Things Peepshow – Twisted Pepper August 2013

On August 1st the Pretty Things Peepshow, in association with Dr Sketchy’s Dublin and Sedition Industries, put on a show of magnificent splendour, the likes of which you’ve never seen before!

When you attend (and work at) as many bizarre and wonderful events as I do, one thing you hear a lot is people saying “I wish I’d gone.” So I’ll say this; if you missed it, you missed out big time. This is how you put on a show, this is how you do it RIGHT. From the moment they unloaded their van until the very last bow, the Pretty Things Peepshow ran like clockwork (a well-oiled Boobie Machine, as Go-Go Amy would say).

Myself and fellow sometimes-Sketchy’s photographer Griffpics worked as a Ninja tag-team to capture the show, and I was extremely glad he was there because I had my eyes closed for a few of the acts. (My gag reflex was not able to endure a women swallowing a whole balloon)

A vintage variety show with all the charm of a Coney Island side-show, it had everything. I’ve never seen an audience so shocked, entertained, and engaged in a show. If the Pretty Things Peepshow comes travelling through your home town, go. And bring everyone you know.

Keep an eye on Sedition Industries and Dr Sketchy’s FB pages for the rest of the photos from myself and Griffpics. Also check out Pretty Things Peepshow’s Facebook and Twitter for more information about them!

All photographs are my own.
