Dr Sketchy’s January Session: A tribute to artist Michael Hussar with Shir Madness and Lulu Rose.
Dr Sketchy’s Dublin kicked of 2015 in spectacular fashion, with a tribute to artist Michael Hussar.
Models Shir Madness and Lulu Rose took their inspiration from two of his distinct works, in a decadent set inspired by his paintings (Scarlett Nymph, your brain never ceases to amaze me with your set design ideas).
You may recognise the gorgeous Lulu Rose from Dr Sketchy’s Tattooed Dolls session last year. Her stunning costume was a great inspiration for this session, paired with her phenomenal make-up skills to recreate the look for Daddy’s Girl.
If you happened to catch Dr Sketchy’s Wizard of Oz session, or the very first Invasion themed Galway session, or you dropped by at Bram Stoker Fest, or you’ve been to pretty much any burlesque show, cabaret, circus event – if you have been out of your house at all in the last year – you will most likely recognise Shir Madness; the curvy, fiery circus freak who likes to tease! Shir recreated the look from Cherry Pie, and treated Art Monkeys to a special LED Hula Hoop performance, in between snacking on Glacé cherries (which I found out, I have been mispronouncing my entire life!).
Tasty themes cupcakes with tiny pearls provided by cake virtuoso Pow! Cake That.
Shir Madness will be competing in Miss Burlesque Ireland 2015, you can show her some love on her Facebook page here, and if you’re so inclined, I would highly recommend a follow on Instagram (@shirmadness) … mostly because Instagram’s “Booty pics” policy is less strict than Facebook’s, and if you’re a regular attendee of Dr Sketchy’s, you’ll know they have declared 2015 the #YearOfTheBooty.
You can keep up to date will all the Miss Burlesque Ireland happenings on the Facebook page here.
